We had a great time this week. I was much more hands-on when it came to assisting my MT. She had a lot of things ready for us since the kids were so lovely and friendly. I assisted my MT in all courses by reading, distributing work, and even walking around and assisting students. Because there was a mix of present students and online students in the course, I feel my assistance was more needed. The students also became accustomed to asking me questions and seeking assistance.
Making our math monsters was my favorite part of the day. It was a clever and charming concept to use multiplication facts. The students were fascinated by it and couldn't wait to see the many-colored monsters. By cutting and gluing, they were able to learn about multiplication while also improving their fine motor abilities. Certainly, an exercise that will be beneficial in the future.
I was relieved to know the majority of the children's names. Something I'm going to strive to improve is my reading nervousness and practice my reading annotations. Overall everything went well and I am looking forward to next week.
