 Week 1: Looking Forward For Next Week

    I am very excited for the upcoming week to finally be face to face with the students. I enjoyed my field experience one and two but I am ready for three and four because I get to know other students and their interest. I like to get to know people and I also like to teach children. I have been waiting for this moment to finally learn from the teacher and students. I know that my mentor teacher will give me good tips on becoming a successful teacher. I am aware that I would need to teach different strategies in order for all the students to learn. All students learn differently and have different interests so I will make sure to make it comfortable and enjoyable. I am aware that the students would need some time to get used to me being there so I will try my best to get to know them and comfort them.

    I know I will need to be patient, understanding, and loving. Children love when educators listen and remember what they tell us. I would need to get to know every student and make sure I say their name correctly. I know how important that is since I went through it. My teachers from elementary school would say my first and last name wrong all the time. I will not repeat that because I know how it feels. I will gain knowledge from my teacher and use it when I teach the whole classroom. I will also write down ideas that I would like to do with my future students. I will learn different strategies that I can use in my own future classroom.  I am eager to meet my mentor teacher and students! I hope the students enjoy having me for that amount of time that I will be there with them.
