Place Value Bugs

Today was an exciting day as it was my first time teaching the students. I was so nervous to teach because I had to teach math and I know my students struggle with that subject. I was hoping I could teach my students the math lesson but still have some fun with them. I feel that the lesson went well for the most part. The students were very much engaged and had fun throughout the lesson. They got to work together and use Manipulatives I made in order to create different numbers while learning about the different place values. I feel my lesson went well even after being so nervous because majority of the students understood the lesson and were able to complete the activity sheet. I'm glad to have gotten feedback from my MT and professor because I feel like that's what will help me to do better on the next lesson. I'm glad to have the first lesson down and ready for the next one. 

I'm really enjoying being in this classroom and I'm feeling more and more comfortable around these students. I like how they're not shy to come ask me for help and I'm really enjoying my time with them every week. My MT is a joy to be around and I like watching and listening to her teach so I can get some pointers from her and learn from her. I really like being in second grade. The students are independent and I feel like there's so much to teach them.
