Week 7

As usual, the students were so excited to see me today when I walked in the gym. I can not get over the fact that the students love to see me every Thursday. I like that I finally feel respected with the kids. It was hard the first weeks because they would talk over me but I think I set some classroom management rules where I let them know that I am in charge as well. During bathroom break, the students were actually quiet sitting on the floor waiting to use the bathroom when being called. I think it was a good idea for them to take a reading book with them to the hall way.
I also talked to my MT about my next lesson plan and what I can use from her room. I thought since she was not going to be there, I could take advantage and ask her for things that I can use. I am excited to teach my math lesson next week because the students need to learn what I am going to teach. I was excited because I taught a student the difference between singular and plural. I gave him an example and let him try one on his own. I was able to explain the directions and see if he understood by the answer he gave. He usually does not do his work because he thinks that he is not capable to do anything. I took the time to go by his desk and go over the sheet one on one. 💙
