Science Lesson- Cordova

 Hello Everyone!

This week I got to teach my science lesson plan on the lifecycle of a pumpkin. Thankfully, everything went pretty smoothly and the students enjoyed the activity. I was worried about the students losing interest but they were engaged the whole time. We did a flipgrid which is where the students were put into groups and they took turns recording themselves. Each student had a stage in the lifecycle so a student could say something like, "I am the seed, I am the first stage in the lifecycle." I am glad the first teaching is done because now I feel more confident in myself and future lesson plans.

Since the students two other teachers, one for math, and one for literacy, I get to meet a different teacher to discuss my literacy lesson plan in a couple weeks. The teacher was very kind and flexible to whatever I had in mind to do. My goal is to begin doing research for my literacy lesson plan and coming up with topics that correlate with what the students have been learning about. I am thinking about doing something that has to do with inferencing, but I am still brainstorming.

Good luck to everyone with your lesson plans/ teaching 😊
